Level 1

  • Capable of achieving job proficiency and/or Certification in basic assembly/pack distribution positions within 5-10 days under entry level manufacturing and warehouse conditions. May require use of simple hand and power tolls.

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

  • Ability to add, subtract, count parts and match numbers to inventory records.

  • Ability to understand routing, packing and assembly instructions or procedures.

  • Ability to understand, follow, and apply operational and technical instruction, written and verbal.

  • Capable of exercising good judgment and sound decision-making in performing responsibilities.

  • Ability to quickly learn new production/distribution techniques and equipment, and adapt new applications to the work environment.

  • Utilize simple go/no go test equipment and gauges to check for component operation, binds, and clearances and make simple adjustments.

  • Responsible for quality of own work in an environment where errors may cause rework or scrap expense.

  • Checks the work products of other assemblers for defects. Fills out audit checklists, as needed.

  • Must be dependable, punctual, flexible and cooperative.

  • Moderate physical exertion caused by repetitive handling of parts and containers; standing, stooping, bending, reaching.

  • Generally lifts less than 25 pounds.

  • Neat and appropriate casual attire.

  • Perform manufacturing and distribution tasks as an entry level and newly trained employee.

  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient with safe forklift operating procedures as prescribed in OSHA's training program content including but not limited to the following:

    1. Truck controls and instrumentation: where they are located, what they do, and how they work.

    2. Engine or motor operation.

    3. Steering and maneuvering.

    4. Visibility (including restrictions due loading).

    5. Fork and attachment adaptation operation, and use limitations.

    6. Vehicle capacity.

    7. Vehicle stability.

    8. Any vehicle inspection and maintenance.

    9. Refueling and/or charging and recharging of batteries.

    10. Operational limitations.

    11. Surface conditions where the vehicle will be operated.

    12. Composition of loads to be carried and load stability.

    13. Load manipulation, stacking and un-stacking.

    14. Pedestrian traffic in areas where the vehicle will be operated.

    15. Narrow aisles and other restricted places where the vehicle will be operated.

    16. Hazardous (classified) locations where the vehicle will be operated.

    17. Ramps and other sloped surfaces that could affect the vehicle's stability.

    18. Closed environments and other areas where insufficient ventilation or poor vehicle maintenance could cause a buildup of carbon monoxide or diesel exhaust.

    19. Other unique or potential hazardous environmental conditions in the workplace that could affect safe operation.

  • Must be proficient and experienced in the use of specific forklift/tow motor type of material handling unit to be used.

  • Work history and/or educational background supporting above requirements and qualifications.

  • Level 2 (Reach stacker or other operator elevating material handling unit)

    In addition to those responsibilities and requirements described in Level 1:

    Ability to be proficient and maintain balance at heights up to 30 feet while operating a cherry picker or similar equipment.

    Job Requirements

    Warehousing Forklift Operator 1 year of Cherry Picker experience is needed.

    2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm Monday - Friday
