Pay Rate/Salary: $14.75-15.00 / Hour
Primary Job Responsibilities:

�Follow standardized procedures and detailed instructions to make final inspection of a wide variety of powder coated parts with complicated geometry and varying size and MIL thicknesses.

�Operate and maintain the temperature, pH level and strengths of chemical solutions.

�Perform daily adhesion and durability testing and respond accordingly when/if failures are identified.

�Create, implement and follow basic work instruction for new or undocumented processes.

�Make decisions and disposition of rejects autonomously and/or with the direction of supervisor(s), and provide constructive feedback for quality improvement.

�Maintain calibration of pH meters, TDS meters, TSS meters, fluoride meters, etc.

Qualifications:

�H.S Diploma or Equivalent required.

�Manufacturing / Powder Coating environment experience is a plus.

�Lab/chemistry training is a plus.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
�Quality inspector must be able to recognize when processing problems occur and have the ability collaborate with a multi-functional team to root cause and solve problems.
�Requires ability to interpret drawing specifications for cosmetic and customer standards.
�Should have basic understanding of chemistry and the reactions between different solutions.
�Should have basic lab training including the use of lab equipment and the ability to perform titrations as necessary to maintain correct chemistry.
�Position requires the ability to calculate figures such as discount, interest, proportions, percentages and volume.
�Should have training and understanding of what to do in the event chemicals are spilled, and what the possible outcome will be should the wrong chemicals intermix.
�Comfortable with the metric system as related to solution volumes.
�Should be comfortable using PC (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word,) etc.
�Should be able to complete necessary inspection documentation and log activity.
�Good problem solving skills are REQUIRED.
�Should be able to lift 50lbs from ground to eye-level.
�Should be able to reach overhead continuously.
�Should be able to stand on concrete floor for length of shift in steel and composite toe boots/shoes.
