Procurement Program Manager - Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities and Duties:

5+ years' experience, managing multiple projects, 5+ years direct experience in the skill category. Persons at this level undertake information technology work, which involves a high level of management skill or a high level of specialist activities under broad direction. Persons at this level may co-ordinate the overall development and maintenance of computer systems and computing services exercising a high degree of independence in the formulation of plans, objectives, resource requirements, budgets and policies. They may perform very high level of specialist activities. Ability to be flexible, works well under pressure, and adheres to project plan.

Essential Responsibilities

    • Develops and implements programs as necessary.

    • Advise the team to dispatch purchase orders against the defined category strategies and executed souring projects. Team will monitor and execute the end-to-end process related to standard purchase order based P2P flow path including PO dispatch, monitoring and expediting and invoice issue resolution. In addition, assists with any audits associated with the P2P controls identified in the documented flow paths.

    • Collaborate with the Category Management team to ensure sourcing projects are implemented in the transaction system in a quality and effective manner.

    • Advise the team in the full end-to-end implementation, monitoring and management of the service procurement process. Team manages the day-to-day activities related to supplier on-boarding, transaction management, and demand fulfillment. Provide guidance for implementation and monitoring the procurement technology strategy and projects related to system and process implementations.

    • Assist team in tracking to metrics and KPIs to monitor the health and quality of all P2P transactions to ensure the timely delivery of services and goods, proper alignment with the Organization's commercial and contractual requirements, mitigation of risk and accurate and timely payment for goods and services.

    • Assist with compliance and quality improvements in supplier data management as a service to the Procurement organization, and will also support supplier data analytics and reporting.

    • Maintain accurate vendor information in all Procurement systems and tools to support category sourcing analytics, strategies and implementation of new supply commitments as well as advanced electronic business initiatives with suppliers.

    • Manage stakeholder alignment and satisfaction; develop and retain effective working relationships with business partners; and review relevant KPI's and identify problem areas for closer analysis and action.

    • Other duties as assigned.

Years of industry experience: 5 plus years of experience in a procurement role; 3 years of experience in request-to-pay procurement operations process. Professional skills and qualifications: Excellent quantitative, analytical and project management skills. Strong influencing skills that can be used to lead teams and build partnerships with internal resources. Ability to champion requisition-to-pay technology and drive compliance and utilization of advanced features. Design and implement procurement processes and systems for efficiency, scale, flexibility, and risk management. Strategic mindset with executive presence and organizational savvy. Self-confident with an ability to accept and respond to challenges in a positive manner. Manages change, ambiguity, complexity and drives for results. Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, effectively presenting complex topics in a concise manner to audiences at various levels and in various sizes. Broad understanding of business issues, metrics, organizational linkages and customer value. Extensive knowledge of assessing and recommending creative and time-sensitive solutions. Procurement knowledge and experience. Educational requirements: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, or Industrial Engineering
