Staffmark is hiring a direct source for a distributor of specialty wire and cable to electrical wholesalers.

We are looking for a talented and tenacious Territory Sales Manager that thrives in a rapid Outside Sales environment to join the team. The Territory Sales Manager will sell our full range of specialty wire and cable, including related wire and cable products. The position will focus within a defined medium-to-large size territory with new and existing business accounts while developing and maintaining long-term relationships with electrical distribution management personnel to facilitate future sales growth. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer and revenue growth objectives. You must be energetic and comfortable building business relationships in-person and at all levels of an organization.

This role will be responsible for covering the Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana markets. As such, you must be comfortable covering a large sales prospect area and maintaining consistently positive results.

What You'll Do:

  • ï‚· Identify customer potential in the electrical distributor marketplace
  • ï‚· Close sales and achieve monthly quotas
  • ï‚· Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • ï‚· Maintain and expand your customer base within your assigned territory – up to 70% travel
  • ï‚· Partner with Account Managers & National Account Managers, when appropriate, to build pipelines
  • ï‚· Accountable for a full medium-to-large territory objective
  • ï‚· Interact with internal personnel to resolve customer complaints and questions
  • ï‚· Provide in-service educational seminars for the sales staff of electrical distributors and their customers
  • ï‚· Provide insight into sales contracts and pricing with customers; review existing contracts to identify any expirations
  • ï‚· Review current literature for new developments within the wire & cable industry, including competitive information
  • ï‚· Attend and exhibit at local conventions to gain new customers through the detailing of new products, as needed
  • ï‚· Participate in local professional meetings to develop new customers
  • ï‚· Ability to successfully sell in both short and long-term sales cycles
  • ï‚· Desire to sell tangible products and services
  • ï‚· Adhere to and ensure the compliance of company code of conduct, company policies and standards

 Minimum 3 years Sales experience; Outside preferred  Distribution industry experience  Demonstrated track record of business growth and over-achieving sales quotas  Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively  Proficiency with corporate productivity and presentation tools  Experience working with or similar CRM  Excellent verbal and written communications skills  Strong listening and presentation skills  Possess a valid driver's license and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records  Proficient in Microsoft Office Bonus:  Bachelor’s Degree  At least 2 years of industrial sales experience  At least 2 years of B2B sales with demonstrated negotiation skills  Technical certification (Mechanical / Electrical / etc. ...)
