Pay Rate/Salary: $13.00 - $18.00

- Maintains safety requirements and promotes safety practices. This includes reporting all safety-related issues to safety coordinator, supervisors, and managers. - Ability to motivate, monitor and maintain responsibility of machining employees. - Assign and train regular and temporary employees in department processes. - Ability to set-up and verify parts meet specifications. - Ability to manage paperwork in a timely manner with accuracy. - Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and improve machining processes. - Perform continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and monitor yields. - Assist Manufacturing Engineers with new product introductions and process improvements. - Responsible for effectively communicating equipment problems, setup issues, maintenance items, etc. to supervisor or Manufacturing Engineers. - Maintain housekeeping standards. (5S +Safety Housekeeping) - Monitor use of machining supplies to prevent waste. - Deals ethically with Parker's customers, suppliers, fellow associates and the general public. - Reports any activities or situations bearing a negative impact on the departments' image or goals to supervisor, group leader or member of management. - Assist with imitation of new product line. - Basic PC skills and understanding. - Performs other duties as assigned by management.- Maintains safety requirements and promotes safety practices. Requirements:
Education must consist of High school diploma or general education degree (GED), ideally, a two year technical degree or equivalent in machine tooling. Language skills Ability to read and interpret a variety of documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Other skills and abilities Blueprint reading and hydraulic schematics. Employee must have solid product knowledge and proven basic problem solving skills.
