Reach Truck Operator - Cranbury, NJ

Position Summary and Essential Job Functions:

Primary duties will include operating a High Reach, Pacer, or Sit down Forklift. Individuals will be supporting the following areas

  • Replenishment (Reach and Sit-down forklifts)
  • Zone support for drops and pull forwards (Reach and Pacer)
  • Full Pallet Picking (Reach and Pacer)

Associates will be transporting, picking, and staging product according to HD requirements and compliance process. These are HOURLY paid positions only.

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Follows Home Depot safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.

  • Safely operates Raymond machinery in order to complete tasks such as staging, and transporting products.

  • Works cooperatively and productively with Department Leads and other associates in order to complete tasks.

  • Arranges cartons in pallets keeping in mind size, weight, height, etc.

  • Works productively with little supervision.

  • Provides and inspires outstanding service to customers (i.e., stores, etc.) by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner.

  • Maintains condition of Distribution Center work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).

  • Duties, responsibilities and work schedules are subject to change, based on business needs.

    Work Schedule:

  • 2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am & overtime may be required on short notice

  • Accountable for submitting coach and counsel forms

    Dress Code:

  • Shoes must be closed toe and closed heel

  • Sneakers or Work boots, flat sole

  • Clean shirts, blouses. No logo's permitted

  • Jeans or long pants in neat, clean condition

  • Shorts provided they are in season and less than 3 inches above the knee

  • No clothing with advertising, logo's, offensive images or profanity

  • No shirts that have bare torsos or low cut

  • No visible pierced body jewelry

  • No leggings/Spandex

  • Staffmark provided apron must be worn at all times in the building

Requirements:
Skills, Ability or Experience Required: • 18 years or older • Pass 6-Panel Drug Test • Pass Forklift / Equipment Testing and Evaluations • Pass (HD Specific) Background Screen • Be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays • Successfully complete any required training or orientation programs Physical Requirements: • Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, & moving items. Requires the ability to lift and move items when necessary. • Responding to public address system announcements. Requires listening for customer service call, personal pages, and general information announcements. • Walking and carrying merchandise. Requires moving around the DC to assist other associates or move merchandise. • Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels, and reports. Requires recognizing, identifying and using merchandise and necessary reports.
