Staffmark is working with an acclaimed company that designs, manufacturers, and sells products and systems that manage and conserve the flow of fluids and energy into, through and out of buildings in the residential and commercial markets. They also provide heating ventilation, and air conditioning and gas products comprising boilers, water heater, and heating solutions.

Responsible to continue the transformation of the Sourcing function to a strategy-driven, proactive and integrated process throughout the Americas. This position will have the opportunity to formulate baseline global sourcing processes and strategies, build a world-class team, and make major contributions to the company for the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Manage a team of 10 direct reports and an estimated $275MM Direct Spend and $100MM Indirect Spend spanning all businesses in the Americas.

  • Develop an integrated sourcing strategic plan that continually improves the Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash Flow (QDCC) of the supply base. Key initiative will include supply base rationalization, global sourcing and increased spend leverage through global commodity teams.

    • Develop and lead distinct commodity groups across the Americas for component and product sourcing.

    • Develop documented commodity team strategies for all key spend areas.

    • Standardize KPI's and integrate common metrics across all SBU's and with all suppliers.

    • Effectively utilize Asian LCC Sourcing and establish strong global sourcing strategy which will include due diligence on new regions.

    • Work with commodity teams to create standard contract templates and negotiate long-term agreements with strategic suppliers.

    • Working with manufacturing, engineering, and product managers lead the effort to continually reduce our direct material costs.

  • Guide Supplier Quality and Development Manager – Standardize a corrective action plan and establish improvements to supplier quality. Extend this team's influence to include implementing lean projects and VA/VE programs with the supply base.

  • Improve the suppliers' on-time delivery performance to enable inventory reductions throughout the supply chain.

  • Drive information integration across various ERP platforms to ensure accuracy of real time spend, cost change, quality and delivery data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of successful experience developing and leading multiple global commodity teams.

  • Proven success with leading annual cost savings with a Direct Spend of at least $275MM+ and an Indirect Spend of $100MM+ for a global, multi-site OEM.

  • Thorough, on-the-ground understanding of China sourcing and past experience managing global direct reports.

  • Knowledge of establishing, implementing and using KPI's as a performance driver across multiple SBU's inside an international organization and supplier base.

  • Leadership skills – developed ability to mentor and develop strong internal relationships while driving standardization and leading change.

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodology and VA/VE strategy along with effective history in deploying these internally and with supplier base.

  • Exposure to supporting a Sales and Operational Planning process.

  • History of working in a matrixed organization with a large number of SKU's, types of materials, product lines and market channels.

  • Travel 30%

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering is mandatory. • Advanced degree along with CPM or CPIM is preferred.
