Pay Rate/Salary: $17.00 - $18.00

The Expeditor supports the business by expediting the flow of purchased parts into the facility. Makes sure the right parts arrive at the right time. Inspects goods upon delivery to ensure adherence to specifications. Works and deals with suppliers / vendors directly to make sure accurate and on-time delivery of purchased parts. Will work on several jobs at once and responsible for many items.

Essential Responsibilities

• Expedite activities or purchase items at various vendors to support sales demand

• Tracks orders, receives goods, and places parts into inventory

• Records and maintains inventory of quantity, type of materials, parts received and distributed

• Confers with site supervisor to determine overdue materials and parts and informs about the status of the product

• Frequently checks with suppliers to ensure delivery will be possible in the agreed date and manages time of delivery

• Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route

• Notify supervisor and others in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late

• Work with suppliers to solve invoicing issues that could delay critical shipments

• Recognize issues that could delay delivery and suggests action plans

Strong systems knowledge and proficiency. Extensive knowledge of inventory management concepts. Understanding of overall materials flow and other functions linked to the Supply Chain. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures and policies. Strong systems knowledge and proficiency. Learns quickly when facing new problems; a relentless and versatile learner; open to change; strives for continuous improvement of self and processes. Follow all quality procedures and company requirements. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Must be eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship. Education & Experience High school diploma/GED required. Strong time management and organizational skills. Exceptional computer skills. Detail orientation and strong written and verbal communication skills. 2-5 years of related work experience.
