This is a TEMP- to-HIRE job, meaning that you will begin through Staffmark, but have the opportunity to convert after just 720 hours on assignment providing you meet performance requirements. Don't worry, you will receive training to be successful, and all you have to do it put forth the effort to learn and maintain excellent attendance!


The Test Technician I responsibility is to perform PCB electronic and mechanical assembly troubleshooting, repair or rework, and inspect in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while meeting defined production standards, schedules and quality requirements. This may include automated, semi-automated and manual testing; training Production Testers; working with various tools and equipment such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, and Power Supplies, used to test components or completed products to industry and engineering specifications and standards; and providing skilled electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.

Essential Functions:

  • Adheres to compliance standards and company policies.

  • Ensure daily 5S of work station (maintain Clean and Organized Work Areas)

  • Understands and adheres to OSHA and safety compliance.

  • Performs product identification, quantity, and lot control accuracy for all components and products during and/or after operations.

  • Ensure Quality and Workmanship, inspecting work performed during and/or after operation.

  • Maintain record keeping, including identification of failed units, failure mode, and how failure was diagnosed and repaired.

  • Learn and understand product flow and part-numbering scheme used for specific products in manufacturing.

  • Monitor failure analysis trends and communicate to Leadership / Management for potential specification, procedure or process modifications.

  • Perform Equipment and instrumentation monitoring to ensure proper operation, set-up, program and calibration.

  • Perform and/or assist in product re-test and repairs, meeting defined production standards and quality requirements.

  • Perform product test failure diagnosis (troubleshoot) to identify and resolve problems, and drive to root cause.

  • Complete Set-up and Operation of Programming and Test Equipment according to established engineering specifications.

  • Read, learn, and follow applicable Computer System and MQ1 instructions and quality standards.

  • Read, learn, and follow applicable Quality Management System Procedures and Work Instructions.

  • Read, learn, understand and interpret established instructions and quality standards, written or verbal.

  • SPC Analysis -Determine if the equipment or process is running well, understanding why the process may be outside of the control limits.

  • Partner with Leadership / Management and Quality to provide feedback to Assemblers regarding accuracy of assembly operation and/or instructions.

  • Use various gages, tools, fixtures, devices, etc. when required by established standards and quality requirements.

Required Education and Experience High School / GED (minimum) Technical Degree -2 Year (preferred) 1 Year Experience (minimum) Ability to communicate (read, write, speak) effectively in English General PC skills to include Microsoft Office. Ability to use multi-meters and some functionality capabilities with troubleshooting equipment, performing advanced troubleshooting, and ability to troubleshoot and identify basic to intermediate issues relating to mechanical parts. Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. Abstract and deductive reasoning skills, creative thinking skills, mathematical skills and problem solving skills.
