Responsibilities This position will support the packaging of products at Clinton Labs. The Packaging Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and knowledge of packaging equipment to ensure Animal Health products are packaged in a safe and quality manner.
As the blister packaging equipment expert, this role will be sought out to provide technical opinions, participate in peer reviews and define business justifications for improvements/changes.
This role will be responsible for establishing the program to understand process variability, reduce process instability/upsets, and drive continuous process and equipment improvements.
Coaching and mentoring cross functionally will be required of the process engineer to instill packaging engineering first principle thinking.
The process engineer will lead efforts to improve yield and throughput of the packaging lines.
This role will lead complex root cause analysis for packaging process equipment.
This role will support new product launches and/or product changes.
Support packaging equipment Capital projects.
Assist leadership in recruiting, selection and development of professional staff
Knowledgeable of thermoforming packaging equipment
Ability to evaluate existing packaging operations, including bagging and thermoforming, and improve productivity
A deep/thorough understanding of packaging equipment and how to integrate into a fully functioning packaging line
Proficient in applying statistical process control methodologies
Proficiency with computer systems including Regulus, GMARS, Microsoft Office products and Trackwise
Strong problem solving capabilities including strategic and critical thinking
Strong interpersonal/communication skill: verbal and written
Excellent project management skills
Cross-functional networking and influencing ability
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity
Deep understanding of packaging technologies utilized in the pharmaceutical industry
Thorough understanding of cGMP regulations and regulatory agencies packaging requirements
Must have experience in working with equipment vendors and distributors, for packaging engineering projects and support activities
Self-motivated and demonstrated strong documentation skills
PhD or Master's Degree in Engineering
This position serves an 8-hour Monday through Friday work schedule
Situations may arise where off-schedule work, both on-site and off-site may be required
This position may require 5-10% travel to domestic and international locations on an annual basis
BachelorÃ¢â¬â¢s Degree in Engineering 15 years experience in a Packaging Process Engineering
