Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more

Key Responsibilities
1. Conceptualize solution approaches. Identify design patterns and approaches to be follow for program solutions. Drive the preparation of detailed functional specifications, design models, and system work flows

2. Identify and enhance the process of assessing new concepts, approaches, and technologies that will allow us to meet existing and emerging opportunities and challenges.

3. Freely shares experience/expertise with the development team. Demonstrates collaborative behavior and drive similar behavior in other team members.

4. Work with Project Management to help develop project plans, scope out program budget & timelines, and set business partner expectations.

Key Requirements 1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience. Work Experience and Advanced Certification Preferred. 2. Strong written and oral communication skills in being able to clearly explain design considerations, options, and trade-offs. Comfortable in engaging in discussions with sr. management team members to explore options, pros, cons, risks, and trade-offs. 3. IT experience in software development, installation, and modification. 4. Proficient in object-oriented design and appropriate use design/architecture patterns. Should have appreciation of various system design metaphors. 5. Experience with developing enterprise level applications using N-tiered architecture. 6. Strong experience in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambda, EMR, Hadoop, Parquet, MYSQL experience preferred. 7. Working knowledge of Elasticsearch (ELK Stack), Kibana and AWS Athena Query Language. 8. Experience working with JSON and XML. 9. Design and development expertise in working with clients and servers utilizing a RESTful API architecture. 10. Experience in developing secure, fail-safe, compliant solutions using the most modern security protocols and a secure development framework. 11. History of involvement in design activities; provide solution approaches & alternatives. Drive the discussion around identifying risks and appropriately challenging proposed designs and architectures 12. Identify the need for, and drive to completion of Proof of Concept activities and transitioning those to workable Production deliverables and systems. Clearly elicit from business partners and customers the objectives and desired outcomes. 13. Proficient in the preparation of design artifacts and models. 14. Hands-on expert experience with Java8, Python 3.6. Scala, or JavaScript frameworks is a plus. 15. Knowledge and experience with building and designing cloud applications. AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect preferred. 16. Must demonstrate competency in designing and developing enterprise applications. 17. Understanding and comfort level in working with multiple SDLC methodologies iterative, Agile, SCRUM, etc. Must be able to drive establishment of development strategies and pipelines. 18. Previous experience with Atlassian JIRA, Rally or other Agile Management software a Plus. 19. Experience with different processing platform scenarios – for example: Linux, Windows, AWS Lambda EMR and other serverless cloud options. 20. Extensive experience with testing methodologies that cover unit, integration, and system testing. This should include experience with testing frameworks such as Junit and continuous testing methodologies. 21. Works on one or more projects as a project team member and can transition between multiple projects seamlessly. 22. Drive solutions analysis and research. Identify options and formulate recommendations. 23. Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies 24. Quick learner who can master and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and a flexible positive attitude. 25. Adaptable and willing to accept multiple roles over the course of a project. 26. Collaborative and is able to see opportunity and learnings in adversity and challenge. 27.
