General Description of Position:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining work areas and equipment. This position may require employees on different shifts to ensure a reliable and safe maintenance program for the facility. Insures that company policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws are followed to ensure safety and quality. The position is also very involved in applying maintenance reliability practices to avoid maintenance expense and to avoid equipment outages where possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with facility management to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
Required to work adjusted hours if necessary to meet safety and quality regulations as set by the company or other applicable laws.
Utilizes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, building and grounds.
Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
Remains current with the latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
Ensure corporate policies and standards (OSHA regulations, applicable laws, etc.) are followed daily.
Shares “best practices” within Maintenance Department.
Engages is planning, evaluation, organizing, and integrating.
Attend scheduled trainings and meetings.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Two year college degree or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job such as Mechanical, Maintenance, Engineering, etc. plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
