Staffmark is hiring a Junior Email Marketing Programmer. The position is primarily responsible for coding email messages in HTML and Text formats, and creating corresponding web pages in CMS. Secondary job function is to assist with testing or building final campaigns for launch in the company's email service provider's interface. This position works independently the majority of the time. Code various types of email messages and online advertisements, including templates, in HTML, Hybrid/Fluid responsive code, and Text formats.
Analyze and review coded files sent by clients, updating code as needed.
Prioritize projects based on deadlines and work needed as listed in tasks.
Assist with advertising and email QA as needed.
Build campaigns in the company's email service provider for test and/or launch as needed.
Proofread content and test links, dynamic content, and email rendering within digital assets.
Build recipient and test lists as instructed.
Manage the progress of projects when director is out of the office.
Collaborate with sales and content departments on specific tasks as necessary.
Update tasks with file review, approval, and launch detail.
Update project and reporting spreadsheets as necessary.
Minimum one year working with email marketing campaigns in B2C and/or B2B environments.
Experience using an email service provider or marketing automation platform.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to set and maintain priorities in a multi-task environment and problem solve independently.
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
Ability to think logically & critically when solving problems and considering process & platform improvements.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office productsÃ¢â¬Â¨
College degree preferred, but not mandatory. Proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS. Experience with creating code using an HTML editor program. Experience with an enterprise-level ESP is a plus, preferably SalesForce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target/Yesmail. Understanding of marketing, creative and technology; and limitations inherent to email as a medium and awareness of coding requirements and delivery issues for HTML emails. Ability to test and troubleshoot in multiple browsers or email clients with strong sense of web design. Familiarity with multi-variant testing a plus and direct response creative design. Continuously demonstrate a passion and ability to staying abreast of emerging technologies and new media trends. Experience working with PC Windows, and familiarity with various web browsers are required.
