Starting rate is $16.50/hour
Second shift differential is $1.00
First shift: 6 am – 2:30 pm
Second shift: 2:00 – 10:30 pm
Reinforced toe shoes
No loose clothing, jewelry or hair.
Ability to operate machinery including:
• Extruder -- general knowledge of set-up, operation and preventative maintenance, and ability to
become proficient by learning set-up and operation including, speeds, feeds, temperature settings for
different types of material, etc.
• Molding presses -- basic knowledge of the operation and ability to become proficient by learning
• Cutting presses -- basic knowledge of the operation.
• Splice presses -- basic knowledge of the operation and ability to become proficient by learning setup
and reading work instructions.
• Drill Press -- ability to drill and be accurate.
• Water-jet -- ability to make precise measurements and cut within 1/64” tolerance of the required
• Angle grinder – ability to grind rubber and prepare surfaces in different applications in a safe
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
Perform quality evaluations on parts during production and notify supervisor of any non-conforming parts or
Manage material usage to optimize profitability.
Utilize routings, work instructions and knowledge of overall processes and equipment used throughout Seals
to make production and in-process inspection decisions.
Examine product to determine if it meets criteria and complete in-process inspection paper work.
Record production data for reference by production and management personnel, including labor tracking,
deviation requests and non-conforming material documents.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety
Present at all quality and safety meetings required by management.
Assist in physical inventory counts.
Attend work regularly and predictably and uphold Company values in all work aspects.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or equivalent . Skills and Abilities Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as simple drawings, safety rules, work instructions, and routings. Willingness to ask questions and communicate openly with superiors and peers. Ability to determine when a deviation request may be in order and instigate non-conforming material documents and deviation approvals. Ability to calculate mathematical functions in metric and imperial. Ability to add and subtract fractions and decimals and convert between the two. Ability to read a ruler and utilize calipers. Ability to solve practical problems and recognize non-conformances. Ability to shift between tasks while maintaining a positive attitude toward customers and staff. Ability to give input on issues in a team atmosphere and support team and management decisions when they are not of your opinion. Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The production area is often cold in the winter and hot in the summer months. Physical Demands Must be able to lift heavy packages frequently up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 70 lbs Standing or walking most of the day. Bending over and kneeling Climbing stairs. Pushing and pulling product. Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to walk, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance and talk or hear.
