Disputes Investigator - Austin, TX

Staffmark is currently hiring for a Disputes Investigator position in the Austin Area. Team members will be assisting the Risk Management team for a card services company. The core responsibilities of the Dispute Investigator will be largely focused around researching dispute claims and processing each claim through the full chargeback cycle. Dispute Investigators work closely with the Fraud, Compliance and Legal departments to minimize loss to cardholders and the company while maintaining regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:

  • Process disputes by researching claims, entering data in multiple databases, and filing chargebacks
  • Issue adjustments for refunds and/or charges
  • Provide feedback on process and system improvements to increase productivity while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Investigate and identify trends and provide feedback to leadership
  • Special projects as assigned, to include working with Risk Management and Compliance departments
  • Assist Team Leaders and Managers as necessary

Required Experience:

  • 1-2 years' experience in chargeback representation, dispute or fraud investigation, or risk management
  • Detail-oriented with excellent research, analytic, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent PC and technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Professional demeanor
  • Strong math skills

This is a contract position. Interviews will be starting immediately.
