Direct hire Service Center Manager opportunity for a growing manufacturing client in the transportation industry, located in the heart of Dayton, OH! Position will oversee Equipment Repair Shop and approximately 25 union employees in machine operation. Position requires strong problem solving ability - must be able to identify industry sources for tooling and equipment. Service Center Manager will partner with Engineering team to recommend process improvements, including waste reduction and problem solving. Will be required to generate Maintenance Work Orders in computer system, utilize Microsoft Excel, and operate in ERP system. To be successful in this role, candidates should have at least 5 years of prior manufacturing experience, with a focus in equipment repair and team leadership.

5+ years experience in manufacturing, including service and repair of equipment. Ability to lead a team, communicate with Operators and other departments on repair and equipment needs. MUST have Union Supervision experience. Problem solving, lean manufacturing, and process improvement experience needed! Candidates must be familiar with Excel and working in ERP system
