About the Job

Pay rate: $20.00/hourly

Shifts: Mon-Fri (Overtime as needed)

1st: 8 am – 5 pm

Daily Duties

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing purchasing costs through timely communication with vendors and ensuring accuracy in all purchasing documents. Daily job duties include:

  • Researching current purchasing brackets, and making recommendations for bracket adjustments

  • Coding Level 1 vendor price lists and converting prices for cost unit of measure

  • Researching cost of goods variances to determine accurate item costs, freight and pickup allowances

  • Coordinating with Financial Services and the Cost Analyst to resolve issues causing negative gross profits

  • Performing cost corrections and advising Accounts Payable whether to pay in full or short pay invoices

  • Other duties as assigned

In order to be considered for the Purchasing Manager, candidates need at least an Associate's degree in supply chain management or accounting, or two years of related training and experience. The position requires strong people skills, excellent problem solving abilities, and a detail oriented attitude. Candidates will also need proficient experience in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
