Position Summary: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing new electronic aircraft ground support products as well as provide technical support for products currently in production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
Apply electrical engineering principles, techniques, and procedures to the design and production of various ground support equipment including Tier 3 and Tier 4 engines systems.
Use knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software, including applications and PLC programming
Create technical drawings, schematics, and models using SolidWorks Electrical CAD software.
Possess knowledge of Aerospace Industry equipment and aircraft electrical systems.
Develop electrical systems that produce 115 VAC at 400 Hz. and/or 28VDC output from a diesel driven genset or transformer.
Knowledge of three phase motors, transformers and controls.
- Knowledge of control circuits, ie sensors, overloads etc.
Ability to calculate required electrical power in a variety of hydraulic and electrical systems.
Ability to design and document wire harnesses.
Ability to write code and program CPLD.
Determine causes of operating errors either at customer's site, or through written and oral communication, and provide solutions to the issues.
Analyze needs and product requirements to create and design, prototype, and test production units.
Determine a budget for new product development and testing of new products.
Conduct quality control analysis tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality and/or performance.
Install and provide training on electrical equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet customer specifications.
Generate or adapt equipment and technology to serve user needs.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
10 years of experience working with diesel engines, gensets, alternators, rectifiers, and circuits
Ability to travel is required when needed to test and troubleshoot units in the field
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering 5-10 years of experience working with diesel engines, gensets, alternators, rectifiers, and circuits
